Why Professional Software Maintenance?
Software is not a one-time product. Operating systems get updated, security vulnerabilities are discovered, dependencies become outdated. Without continuous maintenance, technical debt accumulates, which becomes much more expensive to address later.
A professional maintenance contract protects the value of your software investment. It ensures that your application remains secure, stable, and performant – so you can focus on your core business.
What Is Included in a Maintenance Contract?
Depending on the SLA level, a maintenance contract includes various services. The most important are:
- Monitoring: Tracking availability, performance, and error rates
- Security updates: Timely patches for known vulnerabilities
- Dependency updates: Updating libraries and frameworks
- Bug fixes: Quick resolution of issues in production
- Support: Contact person for questions and issues
Maintenance Without Developer Contact
Your original developer is no longer available? We also take over software that we did not develop ourselves. After a code analysis (from €2,000 excl. VAT) we assess the condition and maintainability of the software.
Based on this analysis, we create a proposal for ongoing maintenance. With well-structured code, the takeover is usually straightforward. With problematic code, we honestly discuss whether maintenance makes sense or modernization would be better.
