Laravel Livewire is a revolutionary full-stack framework that allows dynamic, reactive user interfaces to be created – all without having to write a single line JavaScript.
Livewire combines the simplicity of Blade templates with the reactivity of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React.
What is Livewire?
Livewire works by sending AJAX requests in the background when user interactions take place.
The server processes these requests and only sends back the changed HTML parts, which are then automatically updated in the DOM.
The result: A SPA-like experience without the complexity of a JavaScript framework.
Benefits of Livewire:
No JavaScript knowledge required
Full use of PHP and Blade
Real-time validation and updates
Perfect integration with Laravel
Installation
composer require livewire/livewire
Add the livewire styles and scripts to your layout:
<html

The Component Class
namespace App\Livewire;
use Livewire\Component;
class Counter extends component
{
public $count = 0;
public function increment()
{
$this->count++;
}
public function decrement()
{
$this->count--;
}
public function render()
{
return view('livewire.counter');
}
}
The template
Use the component
<livewire:counter />
{-- Or Blade-Syntax --} }
@livewire('counter')
Data binding with wire:model
// In component
public $search = '';
// In the template
<input type="text" wire:model="search" placeholder="Search..." >
<p>you are looking for: {{ $search }</p>
Livewire offers different modifiers:
{{-- Delayed update (on leaving the field) --} }
<input wire:model.blur=‘email’>
{{-- Debounced (expects 500ms after last input) --} }
<input wire:model.debounce.500ms=‘search’>
{{-- Live update on each input --} }
<input wire:model.live=‘search’>
Real-time validation
class ContactForm extends component
{
public $name = '';
public $email = '';
protected $rules = [
‘name’ => ‘required|min:3’,
‘email’ => ‘required|email’,
),
public function updated($propertyName)
{
$this->validateOnly($propertyName);
}
public function submit()
{
$this->validate();
// Process form...
}
}
