Web Applications – Shops, Portals & Dashboards
E-commerce, business portals, dashboards: See web solutions that digitize processes and increase revenue.

„This section is about real delivery work—shops, portals and platforms we built and run with customers. It should give you orientation, not replace a sales pitch.“
Place these references in the web-app cluster
This page proves delivery competence and operational experience—strategic framing sits in the web app development topics pillar, the concrete offer on the web app development service page, and broader bespoke delivery under software development service. The research pillar for that field is software development topics; bespoke budget bands sit on the software development costs guide. For budget bands use the web development cost overview and the costs hub; technology choices are condensed in technology comparisons.
Service and topic pages link here when credible browser-app evidence is needed.

Knowledge & Answers
Frequently Asked Questions About Web Applications
Trust & reference quality
Why are reference projects more than portfolio screenshots?
They show that complex integrations, performance under load and long-running operations have already succeeded with us—not isolated lab features.
What should you look for in a vendor's web references?
Traceable roles (architecture, interfaces, shop/portal), technology fit for your case and whether similar mandate sizes or industries appear.
Are all projects listed here publicly shareable?
We only show references with approval. Details may be shortened for confidentiality—the competence signal stays meaningful.
Technology & Frameworks
What technologies do you use for web projects?
Frontend: React, Next.js, Vue.js for modern, reactive user interfaces. Backend: Laravel (PHP), Node.js, Python. Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. For e-commerce: Magento, Shopware, WooCommerce. We choose the technology to match your requirements.
Do you also develop with WordPress?
Yes, for content-heavy websites and blogs, WordPress is often the right choice. For more complex applications with custom logic, we recommend tailored solutions with Laravel or React – more flexibility, better performance.
What is the difference between a website and a web application?
A website primarily presents content (company presence, blog). A web application enables interaction and business logic (booking system, dashboard, portal). The boundaries are blurring – modern websites often have app character.

E-Commerce & Online-Shops
Magento, Shopware, or WooCommerce – what do you recommend?
Shopware: German standard, strong in B2C, good balance of features and costs. Magento: Enterprise solution for large catalogs and complex B2B scenarios. WooCommerce: Affordable for smaller shops with WordPress base. We advise individually.
Can you extend our existing shop?
Yes, we take over existing shops (after code audit), fix technical debt, develop custom plugins/extensions, and integrate third-party systems (ERP, PIM, CRM). Migration to new versions is also included.
How do you integrate payment providers?
We integrate all common payment providers: PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, Mollie, Adyen, PAYONE, and more. PCI-DSS compliance is observed – sensitive data stays with the provider. Custom payment integrations are also possible.
Project Process & Timeline
What does a typical web project look like?
1. Discovery: Requirements, concept, wireframes. 2. Design: UI/UX, Prototyping. 3. Development: Agile sprints with regular demos on staging environment. 4. Testing: QA, Performance, Security. 5. Launch: Go-live with monitoring. 6. Operations: Maintenance and further development.
How long does it take to develop a web application?
Simple website/landing page: 2-4 weeks. Business portal: 2-4 months. E-commerce shop (Shopware/Magento): 3-6 months. Complex web application: 4-12 months. Agile development enables early partial releases.
Can we test during development?
Yes, you get access to the staging environment and see sprint results every 2 weeks. Feedback flows directly into the next iteration. Transparency and close collaboration are important to us.

Have a specific web project?
We create a transparent project plan after the briefing.
Bjoern Groenewold – Managing Director
Costs & Budget
What does a web application cost?
Simple website: from EUR 5,000 plus VAT. Business portal/dashboard: EUR 20,000-60,000 plus VAT. E-commerce shop (Shopware/Magento): EUR 30,000-100,000+ plus VAT. Complex web application: EUR 50,000-200,000+. After the briefing, we create a detailed cost plan.
Fixed price or time and materials?
Both possible. Fixed price for clearly defined scope (e.g., standard shop). Time & material for agile projects with evolving requirements. Hybrid models (fixed price for MVP, then effort-based) are often the best solution.
What ongoing costs are there?
Hosting: EUR 50-500/month plus VAT (depending on traffic and requirements). Maintenance: 10-20% of development costs/year plus VAT. Possibly license costs (Shopware, Magento Commerce). We offer transparent maintenance contracts.
Hosting & Maintenance
Do you also handle hosting?
Yes, we offer managed hosting on German servers (GDPR-compliant). Alternatively, we deploy to your cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or on your servers. We configure staging, CI/CD, and monitoring.
How do you ensure performance?
Through optimized architecture, caching (Redis, Varnish), CDN integration, database optimization, and lazy loading. We measure Core Web Vitals and optimize continuously. Performance is an ongoing topic, not a one-time feature.
How are security updates applied?
Within maintenance contracts: regular updates for framework, CMS, and dependencies. Critical security patches within 24-48 hours. Tests on staging before production deployment. Security monitoring included.
Can we maintain the web application ourselves?
Yes, we build intuitive admin interfaces and train your team. Content management, product administration, etc. you can handle yourself. For technical development and complex changes, we are at your service.

Web applications form the backbone of modern enterprise IT. Unlike simple websites, they are interactive platforms.
They map business processes, process data, and offer users complex features. Examples include customer portals, internal management systems, and SaaS products with thousands of users. Our web app references show how we have delivered these projects for clients across many industries.
Technology choices
We use proven frontend frameworks like React, Next.js, Angular, and Vue.js. We pair them with robust backends in Node.js, Laravel, .NET, or Python.
The right tech stack depends on the project. Key questions are:
- How many users will access at the same time?
- What security requirements exist?
- Does the app need to work offline?
- What existing systems must we integrate?
Our projects include data-rich dashboards for business intelligence. We also build booking platforms with real-time availability. Other examples are multilingual e-commerce systems with complex pricing and workflow tools that digitise paper-based processes. In each project we focus on performance, accessibility, and security. These three points are often skipped in web apps. They are key for success.
Long-term partnerships
We are proud of the long-term partnerships from many of these projects. A web app is not static. It evolves over time.
New requirements, growing user numbers, and shifting markets need regular updates. We work with our clients using agile methods and transparent communication. Every app stays not only working but also clean and future-proof in its architecture.
All shown web apps were fully built, hosted, and maintained in Germany. This means GDPR compliance and high data protection standards. It also means smooth support without language or time-zone gaps. When a problem occurs, we react fast. You do not wait until the next morning for a team on another continent.
